Statement Regarding Trademark Use
YMHC (YMHC Charitable Foundation) acknowledges and respects the intellectual property rights of all third parties. We recognize the importance of these rights, particularly in relation to logos and trademarks, and the implications of their unauthorized use.
We would like to clarify that YMHC has previously displayed logos of corporate donors on our website, particularly in the “Thank You” section, as a means of expressing our gratitude for their generous donations. This has included, but is not limited to, the logo of O’Neil Electric Supply Limited.
It has come to our attention that this practice may have inadvertently created an impression of an association or partnership between YMHC and the aforementioned entities. We wish to state unequivocally that no such relationship exists or has ever existed. Any perceived association was unintentional and we apologize for any misunderstanding this may have caused. Furthermore, we acknowledge that the use of these logos and trademarks of some of the corporate donors was without the explicit knowledge or permission of the respective entities. We deeply regret this oversight and any potential infringement on the intellectual property rights of these entities.
In light of these revelations, YMHC has taken immediate action to rectify the situation. We have temporarily removed the “Thank You” section from our website entirely. Our Board of Directors is currently reviewing our policies and procedures related to acknowledging donations on our website, with the aim of ensuring that future expressions of gratitude do not inadvertently infrive upon the rights of our generous donors or create any misconceptions about our relationships with these entities.
We sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused and assure all our stakeholders that we are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency in all our operations.
